Nestled among sub-tropical palms and set back from the sandy shores of Gylly beach, lies the calm refuge of St Michaels Spa.
Having recently undergone a significant outdoor refurbishment working with local Cornish businesses, St Michaels is a state-of-the-art spa seekers sanctuary. While its Hydrothermal Experience has drawn fame in recent years, winning numerous awards and boasting the largest hydrotherapy pool in the south west, its new spa gardens are the latest addition to its calming crown.
Overlooking the gardens below and with views out to Falmouth Bay, the new-look spa garden includes a 12-seater hot tub, cold plunge pool, comfortable seating areas and of course, its famous outdoor barrel sauna. All of which are surrounded by local (and some quite exotic) flora and fauna, providing a natural backdrop to this new holistic haven.
There’s also an impressive repertoire of treatments on offer in the spa, including a partnership with local Cornish brand, Living Sea Therapy, whose products are made from kelp and sea salt and harvested from the resort coastline, to create nutrient-rich balms packed with natural vitamins, minerals and goodness for the skin.
The new spa garden comes as part of St Michaels’ two-hour Hydrothermal Experience, which can be booked in isolation, or included in its wide range of spa days. The ever-popular Twilight Spa Evening combines two hours in the spa with a two-course dinner in the Brasserie on the Bay, showcasing local food that’s big in flavour and low in food miles - one not to miss.
You can be one of the first to experience the new spa garden at St Michaels Resort, with the Hydrothermal Experience starting from £50pp. Advanced booking is essential. To book visit Hydrothermal Spa Experience in Cornwall | St Michaels Resort
