Penryn RFC: Girls rugby makes a comeback

Girls rugby is back with a tackle, ruck and maul at Penryn RFC. With the girls Under 12, 14 and 16 teams building over the summer, it means Penryn will now be offering rugby to everyone from minis, through all age grades up to men’s and women’s.

Penryn RFC has long been committed to bringing rugby to as many members of the community in and around Penryn as possible. No experience is necessary, all fitness levels and body shapes are encouraged. With girls’ and women’s sport enjoying more success and recognition than ever before, the future for the Penryn Girls is very bright. Girls rugby across Cornwall has been growing rapidly over recent years and Penryn are extremely excited to join this proud and passionate community. All girls of secondary school age can now wear the black and red of The Borough.

Penryn Girls are part of a true ‘One Club’, with their rugby being guided by the already highly successful women’s team. The current Penryn Ladies players are actively involved with the girls on-pitch rugby as well ensuring their well-being and providing some of the loudest sideline cheers you’re likely to hear all season.

With the Penryn Ladies ranked a division above all others in the county, those are some pretty special (muddy) boots to be learning from. But that’s exactly what is being offered here, Penryn Girls can aspire to play at the highest level while learning from those already doing so.

If you are looking for a girls rugby team that will help you find your strengths, develop them and build you into the best player you can be, Penryn RFC has a position for you.
