Old Foundry Coffee: Celebrating a year in business

We caught up with Amelia from Old Foundry Coffee, a cute, rustic cafe that is celebrating its first birthday this year!

Hi Amelia! Tell us about Old Foundry Coffee...

It all began with a comment from my husband, who works on the estate, that he couldn’t get a coffee without driving into town. Working as a teacher at the time, the idea for the business developed around our kitchen table and within a couple of hours I’d decided to give it a go. I couldn’t be happier with how the business has progressed inits first year. I have to thank all my lovely, loyal customers for all their support.

So, what’s next?

To keep getting our name out there! So many people in Falmouth still don’t know who we are and what we do. We’re passionate about great tasting food that you want to eat! We serve great coffee from Foundation Coffee Roasters, sourdough toasties and doorstep sandwiches with bread from Baker Tom’s, Ann’s Pasties, seasonal soups, fresh salads and of course, homemade cakes!

Have you got any specials that you'd LOVE customers to try this year?

Our vegan fruity flapjacks have got to be our bestseller! Packed with apricots, dates and sultanas, they’re a real winner! People are always so surprised that they are vegan too!

Where are you?
