New wellbeing group starts in Falmouth

Cornwall Mind has launched a new wellbeing group in Falmouth, to encourage local people to take control of their mental health and wellbeing.

‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’ started in early February and is an eight-week course to explore the five key ways in which to improve your wellbeing and prevent a toll on your mental health.

Led by the Cornwall Mind team, the sessions enable people to learn the ‘Five Ways’, encouraging them to start incorporating each one into their daily routines.

Not only do the programme users benefit from having a greater understanding and control of their mental health, but there are plenty of opportunities to meet new people and socialise. Here in Cornwall, social isolation is a huge issue, so groups and programmes such as Five Ways to Wellbeing are crucial to many in our county.

The programme is designed to encourage people to make small changes to their lifestyles, and to build a resilience against difficult situations and times that may arise, boosting happiness and confidence. The programme also provides access to peer and professional support.
