Falmouth Tree Champions are holding a special tree give-away event this Saturday, 16th March between 10am and 2pm, at Pendennis Community Centre.
Over 800 free trees will be available to take home to improve the tree cover, biodiversity and carbon storage capacity of Falmouth. It is hoped that the saplings will one day transform into mature trees and, as a result, help make a positive impact on the environment.
A variety of stalls and refreshments will be on offer throughout the event, plus the chance to see all the great work that the team at Pendennis Leisure are doing. Families with children will be able to take advantage of Forest School sessions and creative activities too!
The Tree Give-Away Day is a chance to bring the community together, while celebrating the local natural environment.
