Freeriders: Helping you catch your next wave

Surfing is one of Cornwall’s biggest sports and hobbies, and in this fantastic corner of the county, we’re lucky to have some of the finest waters and beaches going! So if you’re a newbie, or simply want the best kit to get into the water, Freeriders in Falmouth has got you covered!

Freeriders is one of the longest-running independent stores in Falmouth and is certainly the longest-serving surf shop, not just here but in the country, still run by the original owner Keith Richards. The team’s expert advice and honesty with quality products are paramount for the business and customer.

If you’re a newcomer to surfing or skating, or just want to polish up on your skill, Freeriders recommend getting some advice and even have a one-to-one lesson or group lesson with a surf school, such as The Search Surf School, who specialise in small groups.

Owner Keith Richards said: “Being in the sea is good for the mind, body and soul, especially being at one with nature.

“I like to surf all over the world and have been fortunate to have been to some of the best places on the planet, but I must say Cornwall is home and always will be! The team still think the best surfers on the planet are the ones having the most fun regardless of gender, age or ability."
