Christmas in Falmouth - Winter events coming up for 2023

The festive season is finally here and Falmouth is the place to be, to enjoy some Christmas fun with family and friends.

Falmouth’s Festive Weekend - 9th-10th December

Step into Christmas with Falmouth’s festive weekend, always a popular event in the calendar at this time of year!

Over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, 9th and 10th December, there will be lots of live entertainment, Christmas shopping opportunities and even snow!

Events will be taking place all over the town, including performances on The Moor and Events Square each day, running from 11am-5pm. Events Square will also have an artificial ice rink, curling lane, Christmas market and RPM bike display show, while The Moor will have vintage children’s rides, a Santa’s Grotto, family photo opportunities in the snow globe, and yet another festive market.

Christmas spirit will be teeming from Church Street all weekend. The Festive Land Train will be ferrying passengers between Events Square and The Moor. Marvel at the snow pattering down amongst festive shoppers, and watch an array of stilt walkers, the magical Elsa and even Father Christmas.

Falmouth Fire Station’s Santa’s Grotto - 10th-11th December

Head over to Falmouth Fire Station to meet a very special visitor on the 10th and 11th December.

Falmouth Harmony Choir - 23rd December

Take a break from the Christmas prep, wrap up warm and head into town to listen to the wonderful Falmouth Harmony Choir, singing popular carols and Christmas songs, as they have done for more than 100 years. This event usually takes place on Christmas Eve so make sure it's in your diaries for the 23rd.

The singers will congregate at Five’s Cyderhouse, Grove Place, before leaving at 10.30am to make their way through the town, finishing at The Moor at around 1pm. Afterwards, why not pop into your favourite shops for some last minute shopping, or grab a drink at one of Falmouth’s fantastic pubs?
