Chip the dachshund wins award

Chip, the four-year-old dachshund from Falmouth, has been presented with a service dog award in recognition of his work supporting people with animal therapy.

The beloved companion of Nicola Congdon, who provides animal therapy to care homes in Cornwall and also runs Pawsitive Pets - a pet foodbank and community hub in Falmouth - Chip has received a service dog award to thank him for all the wonderful work he does with people who need a friendly face and wagging tail to cheer them up!

Nicola and Chip do not charge anyone for their services; they simply are there to provide some comfort to people who may feel a little isolated here in Cornwall.Chip was rescued by Nicola at nine weeks old,and became one of the first therapy dachshunds in Cornwall, and is registered with Canine Concern.
