Adventure is around the corner!

The days are getting longer and (hopefully) a little warmer, the buds are emerging and with it, Cornwall begins to unfold, building to its busiest season.

Pubs, restaurants and cafés are starting to extend their opening hours, historic properties are opening their creaky doors and attractions are calling all visitors. It is often said that you can forget to explore what is on your own doorstep. Luckily, there is such a wide variety of exciting things to do and explore in and around Falmouth, that there is no need to travel too far for fun.

Which type of adventurer are you?

The Thrill Seekers – Sprinkle some chalk and adventure into your life by heading to Granite Planet Climbing Centre in Penryn. As the days get longer you could treat yourself after work or have a one off adventure day! Or if a paddle board or kayaking session in the sunshine is more for you, then check out Falmouth River Watersports and Gylly Adventures.

The Curious Minds – Discover the truth behind those Pirate legends at The National Maritime Museum, or the impressive local military history at Pendennis and St Mawes Castles.

The Art Lovers – Take a sketch pad and pencil to the Gyllyngdune Gardens at the Princess Pavilions and enjoy some quiet time exploring and recording the wonderful plants, shells and features! Then experience the art and workshops at the Fish Factory and the latest exhibitions at Falmouth Art Gallery.

The Coast Cravers – Feel closer to nature with AK Wildlife Cruises or Orca Sea Safaris or take a trip on Enterprise Boats Classic River Trips for a view of Falmouth that’s different from the daily grind! Maybe take a boat trip to The Waterside via the local ferry after a day at the beach.
